An original watercolor painting on paper of tropical reef fish by Japanese-American artist Toshio Asaeda. Asaeda is best known for his paintings of Galapagos Island fish. This watercolor may have been done during his internment at the Topaz Relocation Center during WWII. The back of the painting has a notation of the scientific name of the each fish species.
Currently archivally framed with Hawaiian koa wood, ultra-violet filtering glass and silk matting.
