19th century white nephrite jade toggle of a gourd. This is a carving of a gourd shape. The gourd represents immortality because it is the vessel that holds the elixir of life. It is usually seen hanging from the belt of one of the immortals, or in the hands of Guan Yin. The gourd has a bat carved on the front representing happiness. It has a finding of 14k gold in order that it might be used as a pendant.
