1920s Japanese Ceramic Vase Encased in Silver Basketry

An original Taisho Period studio pottery vase wrapped elegantly in sterling silver basketry.  The stoneware vase features bright swirls of magenta and deep purple on a brown background. Measuring 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide (17.8cm x 15.25cm) including the silver woven handles.
