Pair of 1874 Royal Worcester Chinoiserie porcelain vases. This pair of Royal Worcester vases has a squared trapezoidal shape with panels that imitate Japanese lacquer images.  The front panels are paintings in gold of workers mining and carrying the products away while a single half panel shows the ore being washed.  The back panel of one vase shows a man carrying baskets of something, done in an oval format.  The other vase shows a seated man painting a Chinese style vase.  The whole form of the painting is done in the ingenuous style of Chinoiserie taste which was popular in the late 19th century.  There is a similar pair in the Royal Ontario Museum dated ca. 1874.  Both vases have ring handles protruding from Lion heads on both sides.  These vases are exquisitely crafted with elaborate complex feet in what the artists felt was an Asian carving style.
Size: 11-3/8 inches tall x 4-1/8 inches in depth x 4-1/8 inches in width.
